Zlata Shyshman is a contemporary Ukrainian painter from Izmail, working in Odesa. Born in 1995 into the family of the Merited Artist of Ukraine Ivan Shyshman, she paints plein-air landscapes, Odesa courtyards and streets, still lifes and portraits in a bright, sunlit contemporary impressionism, and has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2018.
Zlata Shyshman was born in 1995 in Izmail on the Danube, into a Bessarabian-Bulgarian family of eight children headed by the Merited Artist of Ukraine Ivan Shyshman; she continued the family line rather than breaking with it. She graduated with distinction from the Fine Art department of the Odesa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, joined the Odesa regional youth organisation of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine in 2016 and became a full member of the Union in 2018. Her medium is oil on canvas and her method is plein air: sunlight on a face, on a wall, on the water of the Danube estuary or on the cast-iron balconies of an Odesa courtyard. Her first solo exhibition, 53 works, opened at the academy in March 2018 while she was still a student, and in February 2026 she opened 'With Love in the Heart. Despite' at the World Club of Odessans, much of it dedicated to Odesa itself. She teaches painting, drawing and composition at the Kyriak Kostandi Art School in Odesa. Her awards include the medal of the international landscape exhibition 'Kuindzhi Memorial' (Mariupol, 2016), the international 'Best Artist' competition (2018 and 2020), the Order 'For the Development of Ukraine' (2019), a laureate diploma of the Odesa Regional Council prize for talented youth (2020) and the title 'Person of the Year 2021' from the All-Ukrainian Association of Bulgarians of Ukraine. Her paintings are in private collections in Ukraine, the USA, the UK, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Spain, Poland, France, Greece, Türkiye and Germany.

"Impressionist Music": A similar approach in music and dance, focusing on mood and atmosphere over rigid structure, with artists like Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel.
