Anton Lohov (b. 1984, Rozdilna, Odesa Oblast) is a Kyiv-based Ukrainian artist working in painting, objects and installation. His practice moves between abstraction and industrial imagery — power lines, mine shafts, depots, climate control — and since 2022 has turned directly to the Russian invasion, including paintings made on salvaged air-defence missile containers. He teaches installation at the School of Contemporary Art in Kyiv.
Anton Lohov was born in 1984 in Rozdilna in Odesa Oblast. He graduated from the Mykola Grekov Odesa Art College in 2004 and from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv in 2010, and took part in the "Genofond" young-artists programme run by the Ya Gallery art centre. He has shown in group and solo exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad since 2008, and lives and works in Kyiv. His painting of the late 2000s and 2010s is built around industrial and infrastructural motifs handled close to abstraction — the series «Клімат-контроль» ("Climate Control", 2014), «Точка відліку» ("Point of Reference", 2014), and single canvases such as «Дроти» ("Wires", 2010), the quadriptychs «Шахта» ("Mine", 2011) and «Грузія» ("Georgia", 2011), «Депо» (2011) and «Золото» ("Gold", 2011, painted partly in gold paint). Materially he is unusually promiscuous for a painter, combining oil, acrylic and industrial enamel on canvas and hardboard, sometimes on canvases over two metres wide. He is the only teacher of installation at the School of Contemporary Art in Kyiv. Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion his work has responded directly to the war, both in paintings that rework art-historical sources by Picasso, Munch and Malevich, and in objects such as «Бавовна в Криму» ("Cotton in Crimea", 2023), an acrylic painted on the ejected lid of a transport-launch container from a Ukrainian S-300 air-defence system, collected from active combat positions by Ukrainian soldiers. Sixteen of his works have passed through the Goldens auction house in Kyiv between its eleventh and fifty-third sales.

Shaian. Homage to Andy Warhol
A large canvas naming the Transcarpathian spa village of Shaian and dedicating itself to Andy Warhol — an early instance of Lohov's habit of routing his own subjects through art history.

A 2016 canvas in acrylic and enamel, sold at Goldens sale 29; the title continues the mechanical vocabulary of the "Climate Control" years.

A 2022 acrylic canvas, the most recent of Lohov's works catalogued by the Goldens auction house (sale 53, lot 27). English title is a direct rendering of the documented Ukrainian «Світло».
